“Smart twin plazas in sister cities”. Mapo city government and Costa Rica Embassy meeting.
On February 16, we had the honor of accompanying the visit of Ambassador Alejandro José Rodríguez Zamora to the Mapo Mayor's Office in Korea to follow up on the excellent relationship of this Municipality with the Republic of Costa Rica. Since 2004, the municipality of Mapo-gu dedicated the location of Plaza Costa Rica in its district.
The Mayor's Office of Mapo expressed its desire that Costa Rica also have a Plaza Corea, which unites the Municipality of Mapo with a Costa Rican town, which is why conversations began to carry out a possible brotherhood agreement with a local Costa Rican government.
We hope to support this Plaza Corea project in Costa Rica through intelligent planning of “twin plazas in sister cities” Plaza Corea and Plaza Costa Rica are a great way to demonstrate the value of the relationships between our countries, but they also have the potential to benefit many of the efforts our cities are currently making to provide more active, safe and inclusive public spaces that also articulate other local development projects with a global vision.
